Juice fast… is it dieting, or not?

I’m somewhat confused… we’re doing a post-thanksgiving juice fast… we’re drinking just about every vegetable and fruit that can fit into the juicer…

Today we’re still on the massive jugs of juice that we made up yesterday… we did a big batch of “green juice” – that consisted of…

Brocolli, Spinach, Celery and Kale.

We also did a quart of Apple Juice, from 3 different kinds of apples… but it’s a little TOO sweet, and we’re taking a break from that one today.

Similarly, we have a mega-red juice made from black grapes, beets and cranberries… it’s tart and sweet at the same time – most odd…

So my question really comes down to whether we’re actually dieting, or just cleansing?  I’m not losing much in the way of weight, but I am losing inches… lots and LOTS of inches.. kind of odd really – we’ve been on this for 3 days, and I have lost only a few pounds – but I am down at least 3-4 inches in the waist… wowzer!
